You'll find them in two forms: a formless blob or mound, or personified to have the shape of a human while retaining their slime appearance.

--Appearance--
A slime's appearance is most closely compared to Jell-O with the ability to move. They are masses of wet, heavy, thick, semi-transparent ooze. Colors can come in any hue, but the most popular are pink, green, or blue. If taking on the shape of a human, their hair is globbed and runs into their body similar to honey being poured over one's head.

--Behavior--
Slimes are curious by nature. Often regarded as child-like, they explore their surroundings without fear. They're capable of extending tentacles to help grasp and hold objects (or people) while exploring. These tentacles are also the most common method available for a slime to insert its mass into something, using the tendril as a kind of hose to pump itself through. This is why so many warning exist against coming into contact with a slime; a desire for warmth leads to humans being an especially hospitable environment, and a slime will not hesitate to enter and explore.

Slimes can consume a wide range of substances as food. Sugar is popular and provides lasting amount of energy. Many varieties consume magical energy like a sponge and dwell near crystals.
